9 activations across 7 stores, March to July 2026. Turning Google's AI into something people can walk into, touch, and take home. Every event in this series put a custom Gemini Gem at its center - mixing drinks, running trivia, shooting headshots, generating trading cards, planning bike routes. The premise held across a music festival, a marathon, a Pride concert, an All-Star weekend, and Comic-Con: when AI is the thing you do rather than the thing you're shown, people stay longer, engage deeper, and buy more.

Concept:  Comic-Con runs on collecting and trading. This activation gave fans something worth collecting: guests posed against a step-and-repeat, and a custom Gemini Gem read their outfit, pose, and energy to generate a one-of-a-kind trading card set in a world built around them. Each guest left with five printed copies — one on a branded lanyard they decorated with pins, four to trade with other guests and with Con attendees across the weekend. Trade all four and win a wizard-costumed Chrome Dino.
Outcome: The trading mechanic turned a single in-store moment into a weekend-long social object, with guests approaching strangers to swap cards and returning to redeem prizes. 110 Gemini Gem photos produced 550 cards and 75 additional prize giveaways. The Gem was the hook — guests were visibly startled by the output and immediately pulled friends and partners in — but the physical keepsake is what carried the brand out of the store. Paid transit placement outside the convention center delivered 141,843 impressions directing new audiences to the store.
